Blue eyes that fought until darkness deceived.

Black hair on a pumpkin head.

Shimmering, crystalline sea.

So early was the time.

The water so cold

Stolen through spite and retribution

Leaving a legacy of such deep hatred and disillusionment

Stolen were hands entwined, soft smiles, warm gazes, physical connectedness, laughter only a child can produce

Rayne coated the next years

Barely able to function for months

I want life back

Butterflies grew, some staying cocooned

Shattering the contemplative mood

Wings of indigo caressing tiny hairs of the face

Black spotted wings that sing

Oh, the scent of watered flowers unseen

Time carries, destructive feelings dissipate

It so much deeper than mere mortal love.
