In my life, years ago, I was blind to the American judicial and imprisonment complex.

Today I am 42. I have been incarcerated for just under 8 years. Before entering prison I. Ever thought about prison the most I knew was that prisoners had TVs and that was because my grandfather did not think prisoners should have TVs and grumbled about it.

Over the years I've learned quite a lot about incarceration and the history of it. I am grateful for what I've learned even though it meant I would serve time away from my family. When I return to society, I will work to support myself and volunteer my free time to legislature about the judicial and prison system.
