My friend and I impulsively decide to take a road trip. With very little thought or preparation we leave Birmingham, Alabama and headed South-West. Destination—Dallas, Texas. Completely dependent on her older model Toyota Corolla to get us there, we were at a crossroads to make up a new plan, when the motor blew up and the car died in a small town only a state over, in Mississippi. We hadn’t gotten very far, but refused to give up on our spontaneous quest to visit Texas, so we downsized our luggage and began to hike, looking for a “hitch”. Our ride came along shortly and I knew it was fate. Two hot guys, just graduated from North Point and on their way to Tyler, Texas, just miles from our original destination. At our next stop, my friend Lori, changes her plans on our adventure and calls someone to pick her up, but I’m determined and won’t back down. So, me and the two hotties in a full size Bronco drive away. We arrive in Tyler, Texas hours later and I decide to stop at the mall to recalculate my route. With my suitcase in hand I strike up a conversation with a man and his wife who agree to drive me Dallas and I later learned that he was actually the mayor of a small Texas town, Tyler.
