The death penalty is such a controversial issue I almost hate to bring it up. Many would argue that it should not be allowed as a form of punishment but just as many would counter that the Bible states it to be not only fair, but expected. Before my own incarceration, I was not opposed to the death penalty. I considered it a legal way of dealing with those who had committed the ultimate crime. Since I have been in prison and met many ladies who are here for taking the life of another I see how there are not only two sides to every story but that it is not for us to judge who should live and who should die. A life is a life and no matter how you may try to justify the death penalty we who did not bestow the power or the right to take it away. As far as I’m concerned “death penalty: is just a nicer term for legal murder.
