An Inmate

…Who wasn’t known by them before,

so, the only thing they can see is their preconceived notions

of me.

They don’t know the type of mother I am and was – The

days we all ran and frolicked

on the beach when they were

small.

They dont know how I pulled

myself up by the boot straps and

went back to college at 37 years old and became a nurse.

They don’t know that what I

am accused of does not define

me, nor is or was it me at

that time. I am much deeper

than this. I must have been

temporarily insane and noone

will know this, they can

only see that which is right now.
